The dense forests make this trek difficult.These three forts are a bit neglected due to very heavy rains in the area and a difficult confusing route to the forts.The preferred climb is usually between Madan and Alang.After leaving Kulang Fort,it may take around 3-4 hours to reach the ladder.Rock climbing would be required here as the wall of the stairs was destroyed during the cannon fire. Requires the use of a fixed rope.There is a big cave and 2 water bodies on this fort. The top of the fort is a huge plateau.There are two caves,a small temple and 11 water reservoirs on the fort.The remains of buildings are spread over the fort.To its north are Kalsubai,Aundh Fort,Trimbak Gad,and Anjaneri and Harishchandragad,Ajobgarh, Khutta (Shikhar),To its south Ratangarh,and Katrabai.It is said that the Kulag is the most difficult to climb due to all the three forts being in the same area.
